City Pet Animal Hospital Athurugiriya

Doctors and staffs are kind and passionate. Facilities are good and minimal wait time. But what matters the most is that they are either clueless or confused on the right medicine to prescribe! Which ultimately is the worse thing could happen to your fur baby.. 😔

Very good pet care and service. Medicine, vitamins, pet food and all medical facilities available. Maintains very good cleanliness and hygiene. City Pet team lead by Dr. Sugath Pemachandra who is very kind, caring and with lot of experience. Highly recommended.

We took our two-year-old Pomeranian mix stray dog, Santhush, to City Pet Hospital after a long and challenging search for answers to his severe health issues. He had been experiencing nosebleeds, continuous sneezing, and reverse breathing. Despite visiting numerous clinics in Colombo, no one could identify the root cause. His condition worsened as he began sneezing blood and flesh, and it was suspected that there was a growth inside his nose. Our journey took a hopeful turn when we discovered City Pet Hospital. Dr. Sugath, the head veterinarian, conducted a nose swab and diagnosed Santhush with nasal cancer. Trusting Dr. Sugath's expertise, we started Santhush's treatment at City Pet, despite the distance from our home in Moratuwa. Santhush began chemotherapy on April 26th, with daily IV treatments to mitigate the side effects on his kidneys from the chemotherapy drugs. Thanks to the dedicated and skilled team at City Pet Hospital, and under the meticulous care of Dr. Sugath, Santhush made remarkable progress. Today, May 18th, we are overjoyed to announce that Santhush has been given a clean bill of health and is now cancer-free! We are profoundly grateful to Dr. Sugath and the entire City Pet team. Their attentiveness, compassion, and the cleanliness of the hospital made a significant difference in Santhush's recovery. We cannot thank them enough for the excellent care and treatment they provided to our beloved Santhush. 🙏

"Have a quick look, recommend something & get it done with" is their method of treatment!! Never expect individual attention or sensitivity to your pet from the veterinarians here; the support staff is way more caring & kinder than the veterinarians. This place is not recommended for cases that require continuous treatment with follow up!

It's best in around. Best staff. All of them are very kind on all type of dogs. Mine was not branded one just a stray dog which has a severely wounded. They taken care of him the same level of kindness. Really appreciate the effort they are giving on animals. I have seen even birds and mice too. So I guess any kind of animal can be treated in here. Hats off guys!
