I would like to express a big warm thank you to all the members of staff at Royal Pets. My seriously sick boxer dog who had stopped eating and having seizures miraculous pulled through with the care and attention he was given at Royal Pets. I was 100% sure he was going to die. I had given up all hope but the staff hadn't. I believe apart from the Peredenyia university vet faculty, Royal Pets are the only place that has 24 hour care facility. The staff cared for my dog like their own and after a week he was discharged. I would like to express my sincere gratitude again for the care and attention my dog needed. Regards Michael

Heartbreaking Experience at Royal Pets (Buwelikada) – Think Twice Before Going! On January 28th at 7:25 PM, my beloved cat came home with an infected wound. Since I was in Colombo, I asked my wife and son to take him to Royal Pets (Buwelikada) immediately. At 7:45 PM, they arrived at the hospital. The staff couldn’t restrain him and sedated him deeply without consent or proper dosage measurement. After wound cleaning, we admitted him overnight for better care, trusting their facilities and paying a Rs. 10,000 deposits. At 11:45 PM, I called, and they confirmed he was still sedated. But at 7:45 AM, they suddenly claimed he woke up, ate 6-8 fish, and bit a staff member. This seemed highly suspicious. At 1:00 PM, my wife and son visited him—he was lying flat, unable to move, make a sound, or even blink. They sent me pictures, and I knew something was wrong. The hospital then asked us to bring an IV to check for blood clots. My wife ran around Kandy city searching for it and finally provided it. No improvement. By January 30th, I rushed to Kandy. My cat wasn’t urinating, drinking, or responding. A doctor asked me to find a catheter, so I walked around Kandy town for 3 hours before finally finding one at Peradeniya Vet Faculty. Shockingly, it was never even used. When I demanded my cat’s hospital records, I was horrified—nothing had been recorded for 3 days! Only after confronting them did, they suddenly write down the treatments. On February 1st, I took my cat home. When they removed the cannula, I saw the needle was bent like a Z, meaning no medicine had entered his system for 3 days. He was cold, blind, and paralyzed. That night, he took his final breath at home. He died suffering. Royal Pets, We Need Answers: ✔️ Was he truly awake after sedation? Show us the CCTV footage. ✔️ Why were his medical records left blank for 3 days? ✔️ If he bit a staff member, was he sedated again? What medicines were used? This was not just negligence—it was inhumane. My cat deserved better. To all pet owners—please think twice before bringing your animals here. Because his ears or eyes do not damage when brough & even he wakes around. Shall we bring back the body & inspect with amount of medicine used for Sedation?

DON’T GO TO THIS SCAM PLACE! I took my dog there yesterday for blood testing. They told me to come back in the evening for the results, but when we did, they didn't have the report! They said to pay first and then they would check. We had to wait 3 hours for the report! My dog has a liver problem, and it was hard for him to even get up. This is unacceptable!

Thank you so much doctor jeewani and your incredible team for taking such great care of rover. The staff was incredibly friendly and treated him with so much love and care. The 24/7 service they provide ensured that rover had the best care possible at all times. I’m beyond grateful for everything you did for him and I can’t thank you enough

I am really disappointed with your staff and service. Your unprofessional staff completely changed the appearance of my dog during grooming, and I am very unhappy with the result. Dont go to this place
